Empower Omaha “Stop The Violence” Community Prayerwalk
Tuesday, October 4th
6:00-7:00 PM at Bemis & Gifford Park Areas

Meet at OPS South Parking lot – 33rd & Burt
Directions: The Omaha Public Schools Central Offices are at 3215 Cuming St.
We will meet at the South Parking lot at 33rd & Burt. See Map below or attached. If you need directions in route call Dave at 651-3136. The Bemis Park neighborhood is alarmed by the increase in violence this year. The Gifford Park area has suffered numerous violent attacks in 2008 and several homicides. Sudanese refuges in this area have been attacked several times.

Habbakkuk says that human bloodshed is violence to the land and all its inhabitants. We prayerwalk bloodstained ground to spiritually cleanse and reclaim the land for King Jesus…beseeching God’s intervention in our neighborhoods…praying for the peace of our city. We say to violated neighborhoods, “You are not alone…we are standing with you against the violence on our streets.”

Prayerwalking makes a difference! God is clearly pleased when believers pray in the streets…when the salt gets out of the saltshaker.

Bring the kids, they make great prayerwalkers... we will have police presence in the area during the prayerwalk. Join with area pastors and believers from all over Omaha as we stand together as one body…the body of Christ.

This will be the last scheduled Empower Omaha “Stop The Violence” Community Prayerwalk in 2008. First Responders will continue to respond to PW each homicide.
