METRO PRAYER GUIDE

Metro Prayer for November 21, 2008
We have prayed recently for the Nebraska legislature to change the safe haven law to restrict the age limit to infants and they are currently working on the law. However, the previous law did shed light on a larger issue that Nebraska faces. Parents and child advocates say that the state is failing its most troubled children and they are calling for lawmakers to provide better behavioral health service for Nebraska children, particularly teens. Please pray for wisdom for our legislature as they deliberate the situation. Also pray that the body of Christ would gain a heart and vision to minister to troubled youth.-- Gal. 6:9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

Ask the Lord to use Thanksgiving Day to draw hearts to Himself. Many people who never consider the Lord during the rest of the year become reflective on this day. May the Lord begin a great work in their hearts! Also pray for believers to obey the command to be thankful for all things. 1TH 5:16 Be joyful always; 17 pray continually; 18 give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
